Reclaimed cedar lanterns

I was commissioned to make several lanterns for an awards benefit in early November 2013. These were designed and hand made for the special event. A total of 16 were made. They are 12″ high and 8″ square. They are made to be used as an actual lantern with a traditional or led candle. The top has a 4″ wide hole on top so a candle can be dropped in and lit. The handle is wood and old wire from dune fence that was straightened and sanded to remove years of rust.

I plan on making a few more of these at the end of 2013. Then they’ll be a “custom made” item in my Etsy shop. If you’re interested in using these at a special event, please contact me.
