Woof!!
I love being asked to make custom items for people, like this inverse dog cutout. If you can’t tell, it’s a Bassett hound. I used a siloulette that I found online to make a stencil. It was transferred onto a single piece of white pine that I salvaged. I cutout the shape of the dog and used other scrap pieces to accent it. The pieces were cut to length and attached to the back. What I like most is how I found a piece that still had an old nail in it and placed it where the dogs eye would be (it’s hard to see in the photo). I then framed out the edges with 2 ¼” yellow pine and covered up the back with a piece of luan plywood. I then installed craft paper and hanging hardware on back. I might make an osprey or another bird siloulette next….
Love it! I wonder what a springer spaniel one would look like…
Thanks Monica! One way to find out! 😉
