Terrarium Stand

I never thought I’d be asked to make a stand for a terrarium, especially one that is 4′ tall! This was a really fun project to work on. I designed this stand to hold a huge amount of weight. It was constructed from waste created by the expansion of the Garden State Parkway near my home in New Gretna. The sides and top are made from 2x6s that were planed and then joined. The top sits right on the sides for extreme strength. The mosaic doors were made from scrap wood and both slide back and forth for easy access to inside the stand.
