Custom made awards

I love working on new projects where I’m able to let my creativity shine! These are the first awards I’ve ever made. They’re made for the NJRMA’s Retail Merchants of the Year: Lowes and Home Depot. It’s only fitting they get an award made from reclaimed wood! 🙂 Each award features a one of a […]

Reclaimed cedar box

Here is a 7x7x5″ box that I made for a special award. It’s made from reclaimed Atlantic white-cedar. More news and photos to come!

Nothing wasted

So I used a lot of pallets to finish the 8×4′ table. In the process a lot of scraps were created. Luckily, I hear both my house and workshop with wood. But, I also reuse a lot of scraps that I create. Nothing gets wasted. Here is a tree sculpture I made from the oak […]

Photo of the day: Big Slide Summit

I recently returned from an awesome hiking trip to the High Peaks region of the Adirondacks in upper state New York. Here is one photo taken with my iPhone 5S on the summit (4099′) of a good friend Rory on Big Slide Mountain. I plan on posting more photos from my trip soon!

Custom framed map

I recently framed this historic map of Long Beach Island and Barnegat Bay. It was an easy choice for what type of reclaimed wood I would use to frame it. It so many pieces that I frame, the simple and natural patina of weathered Atlantic white-cedar fits the bill.

Lanterns

I’m working on something fresh. I’ve been commissioned to make centerpieces for an awards banquet in November. The centerpieces are a fully functional wood lantern. I’m making them from reclaimed cedar, which is left with its natural patina. They’re around 8″ square by 12″ tall. So far I’ve made two prototypes and the second will […]

Historic Smithville’s Oktoberfest

I had great weather for my last event. There were also lots of crowds. I always to hear people’s reactions to seeing my work, especially my photography! Also, talking with other artists at events is also something I love. 🙂 My next event is this Sunday, the 20th. I’m happy to be attending the Country […]

Reclaimed pallet table

I was asked to help finish a table using reclaimed wood. It was made by a client out of 3/4″ plywood, 1-bys, and pine legs. It’s solid and is countertop height. It’s 96×48″. To finish the table I sourced quality pallets that were made with hardwood, mostly oak. I had a few but found more […]

Time flies!! My first fall show of the year is on the horizon…actually, it’s today!! 🙂 For the second year in a row I’ll be attending Oktoberfest at Historic Smithville, which is this weekend and runs from 10-4pm on both Saturday and Sunday. It was a great event last year. Lots of crafters and lots […]
