Below is the first deckle edge print that I’ve framed. This is where the paper has a feathered or rough edge, that looks like it was torn by hand. To showcase this, this print was placed atop matboard and then hung using archival paper tape that’s hidden behind the print. To hang the print and hide the tape you need to cut a few slits in the mat board (behind the print) where you create a hinge that will hang the print. The tricky part is measuring and centering the print, since the edge is not exact.
This piece was framed in reclaimed white oak. It was left unfinished and had some nice light patina that I thought complimented the photo.
