Featured Find: bird crate scraps!

This is the second time I’ve stumbled upon these old wood boards. They are from NJ Fish & Wildlife game bird crates that are used to transport farm raised birds to WMAs during the fall hunting season. When the crates need to be fixed many old pieces get trashed. The trademark green paint and heavy wear make these boards pretty darn cool (if you ask me)!!

I make salvaged wood tree sculptures with them and even made this evergreen tree as a 5th wedding anniversary gift for my wife!
