Walk with me
TToday I got the chance to take a little walk in the woods inside the Ballanger Creek section of Bass River State Forest. This section is special to me. In 2009 I got funding to help remove fill (asphalt millings) from freshwater wetlands at the site with my position with Conserve Wildlife Foundation of NJ. As part of the project, and with the help of many volunteers, including local girl scouts, we enhanced existing trails at the site for hiking. It’s a great site to check out if you’re into birding, photography, and just like to get lost. I brought my Canon 6d and my 100mm f2.8 macro lens out with me in the light rain to shoot some photos of the plant life there.
