Art at the Mart, ornaments and more…
This was a busy week. It started out with framing an Audubon print for a co-worker as a last minute job. I chose to frame it in reclaimed tongue & groove cedar which was stained a dark chestnut color and finished with a boiled linseed oil & beeswax finish.
Several nights this week my buddy Joe came over and is starting to help me churn out a bunch of items for fall shows. One of those items is a new item: small reclaimed jersey cutout ornaments! These are made from a small pine board that I acquired from somewhere… More will be made from the cedar shakes from the shack. Stay tuned for more updates about these!!
Lastly, I attended my first event in my home town this evening, called “Art at the Mart.” It’s located at the Manahawkin Mart along Bay Ave in Stafford Twp. It was a beautiful evening for an outdoor event! There are lots of awesome vendors in the Mart and there was live music as well. Not many people came out but things will only get better for this local event! I hope to attend again next month. A bonus for the night was stopping in The Shack Board Shop, which had some broken skate decks!! I might make a few more jersey cutouts that they can sell in their shop.
The ornaments are a great idea. I imagine you’ll be pumping out a ton of these for the holidays.
Thanks dude!!
