Etsy spotlight: ospreys, a worthy cause
This isn’t my day job. I really work to protect, monitor & manage endangered and threatened species in New Jersey. It’s something I’ve been doing here since 2004 after I graduated from Unity College in Maine. Since ’04 I’ve worked with ospreys, a state threatened species, and I’ve photographed my fieldwork with them ever since. I’ve got hundreds of photos of them, their nesting platforms, and my work with them. I work for Conserve Wildlife Foundation of NJ (CWF), a very small non-profit organization that works to protect NJ’s rare species through environmental education, species management, habitat restoration, and by implementing conservation projects to conserve rare wildlife for future generations to enjoy.
I really started making frames from salvaged wood to frame my own photography. Most of it was for sale as fundraisers at past events for CWF, like their annual Women & Wildlife Awards. I am always looking for ways to help protect wildlife in NJ. One way to frame and sell my own photography from my work with ospreys and other species in NJ. From now and into the future, every print that I sell which depicts my work with wildlife in NJ will directly benefit them. I’ll donate all of the proceeds from each print to CWF.
This is a great way to show your support for NJ’s rare wildlife and re-use of salvaged materials. For more information & to purchase this limited edition and signed print visit my shop on Etsy.
