framing studio update

Well, 6 weeks ago I said I was beginning work on my home framing studio/work space. In the past 6 weeks I got little work done…. In that time I moved out all non-essential furniture, books, magazines, and other stuff. Today I finally began painting. So far only the ceiling is done. For the walls I chose a simple and light neutral color. I think it could be called a sandy or off-white color.

I intended for this whole project to be completed by now. But in the past couple weeks I’ve done two local shows. Before and in between them i was busy making items to sell at these shows. One can say that I diverged from my initial plan on only working on my framing studio while I was off on family leave. I wasn’t planning on doing either of the shows and I signed up to do both really late. I have one more before the end of the year next weekend. Both shows were really good and my work was really well liked. I overheard people saying things like “wow” “very nice” and “neat stuff” when they walked past my display. Many that past by often came back to purchase something.

Over the holiday weekend I hope to finish painting my work space so I can build in my new framing table and storage bench.
