Corks, corks and more corks…
Worked on this last night. It’s a medium cork board framed in salvaged cedar. The cedar was an old fence slat. Wood was sanded and left natural. Over time it will get a natural patina.
Corks are recycled and gathered by friends, family, and acquaintances. I’m working on an agreement and partnership with the Cork Forest Conservation Alliance. I’m going to become a source for corks that are recycled through their Cork ReHarvest initiative. They provide containers are all Whole Foods and at some other locations throughout the U.S. I am going to collect the recycled corks at Whole Foods in Marlton and I am hoping to find a new partner in the S. Ocean County area where another collection point can be located. More news to come soon!
