Custom framed prints (on aluminum)

I framed these two prints, by John Caffrey, that he had printed on aluminum. Each had a gloss finish. Finishing them with reclaimed wood gives them both a rustic look. I might try getting one of my photos printed on aluminum, then mount it right on wood. Though, my only thought is, how much more harm would the production of aluminum cause the environment, than having a photo printed on paper. The production of aluminum takes a huge amount of energy, so I might stick with printing photos on paper!
