Preparation is key

My first show of 2014 is approaching fast, and I’m starting to work on new goods for the show.

Lately between being sick and the cold, my productivity has been diminished. It’s not uncommon this time of year. We’re all cramped indoors in the warmth. Close to other people and infections. Plus it’s been darn cold this winter. Forget the snow, the cold is what makes it hard. To make stuff I need to first make my old workshop bearable to be in. It’s heated by an old wood stove that I salvaged and installed last winter. It works really well, but it takes a good hour or more for it to start warming my whole workspace… Sometimes I can’t justify warming up my shop to only work out there for an hour or two, so I save my time and plan certain weekend days to devote more time out there.

Anyways, the point of my post is that, with the snow and the cold, I’ve managed to work on framing some prints that I got a while ago. My new promise to myself is to not let prints sit for too long after I get them!

Without further ado:
